This was beautifully reflected in the recent success of the Apeejay School girls’ handball teams.
In a proud moment for the Apeejay School, Kharghar, the Under-19 and Under-14 girls’ handball teams displayed remarkable talent, discipline, and sporting spirit at the prestigious CBSE South Zone II Handball Tournament held at Dhruv Global School, Sangamner. Competing against strong contenders from across the region, both teams emerged as runners-up in their respective categories – a commendable feat that reflects their hard work and commitment.
The tournament, known for its high level of competition, offered a platform for young athletes to test their mettle, hone their skills, and learn valuable life lessons on and off the court. Apeejay School’s girls’ teams rose to the challenge with an inspiring blend of grit and grace, turning each match into a lesson in strategy, endurance, and collaboration.
The Under-14 team exhibited outstanding coordination and technique, showcasing a game sense beyond their years. Their spirited performances kept the audience on edge and their opponents on alert. The Under-19 team, equally fierce and focused, demonstrated senior-level tactical precision and played with unwavering determination throughout the tournament.
Principal of the school Dr Sonali V Balwatkar, lauded the young sportswomen for their consistent performance and congratulated them on their achievements. She expressed deep appreciation for their teamwork, resilience, and the values they upheld during the competition. “Our girls have not only played well but have also represented the school’s ethos with integrity and passion,” she remarked.
