GATE toppers share success mantra; say consistency and conceptual clarity are key

Swasti Jain and Apoorv Sharma from AIT-SAP secure AIR 66 and 94 respectively in this national-level entrance exam

Students of Apeejay Institute of Technology – School of Architecture & Planning (AIT-SAP), Greater Noida have once again showcased their academic excellence by achieving  remarkable All India Ranks (AIR) in the prestigious GATE (Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering) examination. Two such achievers are Swasti Jain and Apoorv Sharma who secured AIR 66 and 94 respectively. Their outstanding performance reflects consistent hard work, focused preparation, and the high-quality academic guidance provided at AIT-SAP. 

Speaking to Swasti, she mentioned that her preparation strategy was to focus on building strong conceptual clarity first, followed by consistent practice through mock tests and previous year papers while maintaining a disciplined study schedule. “Regularly analysing test performance to identify weak areas is the core,” she said.

She further highlighted, “My five years at AIT-SAP were great. It played a significant role in my journey. The academic environment fostered by the institute, along with constant support from faculty and peers, helped strengthen my foundation and kept me motivated throughout.”

Another GATE achiever Apoorv shared, “My main focus was on solving previous year question papers and revising coaching lectures. As I was working also at the time of the GATE exam, I ensured consistency in studying daily and revising things I already knew even if it’s for half an  hour or 1 hour.”

He further credited AIT-SAP for setting a very strong academic base. “All the topics in the exam have been taught in the college one way or another and it helped me build up confidence.”
