Fusion of Indian languages and technology will unlock limitless possibilities for the talent pool of India of the country: Dharmendra Pradhan

Minister for Education and Skill Development & Entrepreneurship, Dharmendra Pradhan has underscored the imperative of promoting technology integration in Bharatiya Bhasha (regional languages), encompassing their use in teaching, training, examinations, and translating educational materials.

During the inaugural day of a two-day summit on Indian languages held in New Delhi and organised by the ministry, directives were issued to “facilitate a smooth transition from the current education framework to one firmly rooted in the nation’s languages”. 

The National Education Policy 2020 (NEP) aims to advance education in regional languages. Addressing the summit, Pradhan stated that scholars from around the world have historically come to India to explore its knowledge base. He emphasised that the fusion of Indian languages with technology would unlock boundless possibilities for the country’s talent pool, enabling the contextualisation of the Indian knowledge system through technology.
