The Engineering Club of Apeejay Institute of Management & Engineering Technical Campus (AIMETC), Jalandhar, celebrated Engineers’ Day with great enthusiasm to honor the birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna Sir Mokshagundam Visvesvaraya, one of India’s most eminent engineers. The event was not only a tribute to his visionary contributions but also a platform for students to showcase their creativity, technical acumen, and problem-solving skills.

The celebration aimed to inspire budding engineers to recognise their role in nation-building while motivating them to embrace innovation and ethical practices. Students presented an array of impressive projects ranging from engineering prototypes like Car Parking Systems, Smart Stick, Home Automation, and Smart Dustbin, to digital solutions such as a Job Application Portal and a Gym Website. Alongside these, mathematical models reflected analytical ability and logical reasoning, adding another dimension to the exhibition.

Addressing the gathering, Dr. Rajesh Bagga, Director, AIMETC, shared, “Apeejay Education has consistently encouraged students to blend creativity with ethical practices and technical excellence. The Engineers’ Day celebration is a reflection of that commitment.”

The exhibits were evaluated by a panel of experts, and winners were announced across three categories. In Engineering Prototypes, the first prize was awarded to Tanish and Harleen Kaur (BTech CSE – AIML, III Year), while the second prize went to Dupinder Singh (BTech CSE – IoT & CS, III Year), and Jashanpreet Kaur and Tanvi (BTech CSE – AIML, III Year). Aryan (BTech CSE – IoT & CS, III Year) and Jobanpreet Singh (BTech CSE – AIML, III Year) secured third place.

In Mathematical Models, Aditi Thakur and Shivang Thakur (BTech I Year) won the first prize, followed by Rashmi Kapoor and Imanpreet (BTech I Year) in second place, and Arshdeep, Radhika, Ishpreet, and Deepika (BCA I Year) in third. For Digital Solutions, Simarjot Kaur (BTech CSE, V Year) bagged the first prize, Simran (BTech CSE, V Year) stood second, and Charanjot Singh (BTech CSE, V Year) secured third place.

Congratulating the winners, Dr. Bagga remarked, “Your achievements today showcase your hard work, creativity, and problem-solving spirit. These qualities will carry you far in your careers and enable you to contribute meaningfully to society. Remember, every great engineer starts with a small idea, but with perseverance and commitment, that idea can change the world.”

He further encouraged students to continue embracing new challenges, pursue innovation with integrity, and remain lifelong learners, setting the tone for a truly inspiring Engineers’ Day celebration at AIMETC.
