Apeejay Stya University, Gurugram, was ablaze with energy, excitement, and unbridled youth spirit as it inaugurated ‘Elaan 2025,’ its much-awaited three-day inter-university annual fest. A true celebration of triumph, talent, and total madness, Elaan 2025 was not just an event—it’s a storm of energy, unity, and the electrifying power of youth.

As students from universities across the country streamed into the vibrant campus, the atmosphere buzzed with anticipation. The university ground transformed into a festival of fire and flair, setting the perfect stage for days packed with nail-biting sports battles, stunning cultural performances, and endless camaraderie.

The inaugural ceremony commenced with an auspicious lamp lighting ceremony and a Bharatanatyam performance by Mishti Yadav, a student of the School of Biosciences, who offered a divine Ganesh Vandana through classical dance.

The gala event also featured a video of Founder Chancellor Dr Stya Paul showcasing his life and journey. Further, Dr. Neha Berlia, Co-Promoter, Apeejay Stya and Svran Group and Pro-Chancellor, Apeejay Stya University, shared a heartfelt video message capturing the enthusiasm and essence of the annual fest. “Welcome to Elaan, the most loved and eagerly awaited fest! The energy on campus is absolutely electrifying. This event is a true display of teamwork, resilience, and youthful spirit. You all bring your own spark, and that’s exactly what makes Elaan so special.”

Declaring the three-day grand fest open, Prof. (Dr.) Vijay Vir Singh, Vice-Chancellor of Apeejay Stya University, addressed the gathering with a message that resonated deeply. “Congratulations ASU for organising Elaan 2025. Apart from the merriment, I visualise it that  embodies the spirit of teamwork and positivity. Healthy competition will be good but let us all remember that Competition is good, but the spirit of competition must never overshadow the importance of cooperation and friendship. True success lies not just in winning, but in accepting and uplifting one another along in the journey. Healthy competition inspires growth – collaboration and camaraderie are what create lasting impact, stronger communities, and a future where everyone rises together resulting in a happy progressive society,” the Vice Chancellor mentioned.

The highlight of the day was a power-packed music performance by talented singer Anadi Mishra, an alumnus of Apeejay College of Fine Arts, Jalandhar, who presided over as the Guest of Honour. Regaling the audience by sharing inspirational tales of self-expression and versatility, Anadi set the tone for the day. He shared insights from his own musical career, he encouraged students to embrace versatility and never limit themselves to one style. “Don’t be dependent on just one singing style. I was trained to sing every kind of song, and that became my way to showcase my uniqueness,” he said, striking a chord with the young audience.

Prof Sanjay Ahirwal, Dean of School of Journalism and Mass Communication and Dean Students’ Welfare extended his wishes to the Apeejay community for successfully organising this event.    

Adding to the festivity, a stunning lineup of sports competitions and cultural extravaganzas was unveiled, promising three days of thrill, excitement, and celebration. From football matches that kept spectators on the edge of their seats to dance and drama performances that showcased raw talent and creativity, Elaan offered everything epic.

The inaugural ceremony was filled with laughter, inspiration, and togetherness—an authentic glimpse into the magic that Elaan embodies. Students came together, not just to compete, but to celebrate the spirit of creativity, collaboration, and cultural pride.

In his vote of thanks, Pardeep Kumar, Registrar,  extended gratitude to the university leadership, guest speakers, participants, and the organising team for making the inauguration an unforgettable success.
