The Information Technology Club of Apeejay Institute of Management & Engineering Technical Campus (AIMETC), Jalandhar, organised an exciting event titled “Pixelation: Web Designing Challenge”, aimed at testing and showcasing the creativity, technical proficiency, and problem-solving skills of students across multiple streams.
The competition provided a unique opportunity for participants to design a website based on an on-the-spot problem statement. This format not only evaluated their ability to design aesthetically pleasing websites but also assessed their real-time analytical and execution skills. Students from B.Tech, BCA, and MCA programmes enthusiastically took part, bringing innovation and fresh perspectives to the competition.
Throughout the event, the energy and excitement among the students were palpable. With limited time and resources, participants demonstrated their capability to combine design thinking with technical expertise. The impressive websites created reflected both their dedication and their grasp of the latest trends in user interface (UI) and user experience (UX) design.
At the end of the competition, winners were announced amidst applause and cheer. Simarjot Kaur and Simran from B.Tech V semester bagged the First Position, impressing the judges with their well-structured and creative website design. The Second Position went to Kartik and Nikhil from MCA I semester, while the team of Amisha and Preeti Verma from MCA III semester secured the Third Position, showcasing commendable skills and teamwork.
Congratulating the winners and participants, Dr. Rajesh Bagga, Director, AIMETC, praised the efforts of the students and highlighted the importance of such technical events in nurturing well-rounded professionals. He remarked that platforms like Pixelation not only sharpen technical abilities but also enhance creativity, teamwork, and problem-solving skills—qualities essential in the fast-evolving IT industry. He encouraged students to take active participation in similar co-curricular and extracurricular activities to ensure their overall growth and future readiness.

The smooth execution of the event was made possible by the committed efforts of the faculty and student coordinators. The faculty team included Mr. Rohit Verma, Convenor, Information Technology Club, and Mr. Rajiv Kumar, Assistant Professor & HOD, School of Engineering and Technology. Supporting them were the student coordinators Ms. Neha (MCA III) and Ms. Radhika (BCA V), whose coordination and leadership contributed significantly to the event’s success.
The Pixelation: Web Designing Challenge concluded on a high note, leaving students motivated and inspired. It not only fostered competitive spirit but also reaffirmed AIMETC’s commitment to providing platforms that bridge academic knowledge with practical skills, preparing students to excel in the digital era.
