Schools play a crucial role in the holistic development of young children by focusing on various aspects beyond academics. “This school provides a platform for children to interact with peers, helping them build friendships, understand social norms, and develop empathy. Activities like group work, playtime, and sharing foster cooperation and communication skills,” shares Sejal Janeth whose son Agastya studies in LKG at Apeejay School, Nerul.
Read on to learn how teachers provide support, helping children understand and express their emotions.
Why did you choose Apeejay?
Apeejay has consistently ranked among the top schools in Nerul, and I was particularly impressed with its entrance programme. The school fosters a diverse environment, welcoming students from various backgrounds, which creates a rich learning atmosphere. From a young age, I had heard positive things about Apeejay, and after seeing Anaaya thrive at this school, I decided it was the best choice for my younger son as well.
How are the teachers here?
The teachers have always been incredibly kind to my children. The school’s approach of encouraging children to take responsibility for tasks like Annual Appreciation Day preparations, contributing to the school magazine, and other similar activities has truly contributed to my children’s growth and independence.

How has your son’s journey been so far academically?
Agastya enjoys sports and learning new things. He is very interested in completing his homework and loves to do things on his own. The concepts taught in school are very clear to him and he participates in all the activities conducted in school.
Which extracurricular activities does he enjoy?
Since Agastya is at the primary level right now, he is devoted to sports and games that keep him active and busy throughout.

Do you feel Apeejay is like a second home for your child?
I fully agree that school serves as a second home for children. My kids spend a considerable amount of time at school, where they not only acquire academic knowledge but also engage in various experiences that shape their development. The values upheld by the school are in harmony with my own, ensuring that my children grow up in an environment that fosters their holistic growth in the way I’ve always envisioned.
