From Accenture to Coffee Day Global: Amandeep Jaiswal’s Success Story

For Amandeep Jaiswal, education has been more than just acquiring a degree—it has been about transformation. Having worked at Accenture post-graduation, he recognised the need to expand his skill set and took the leap into a PGDM program at Apeejay School of Management (ASM). Specializing in Marketing and Operations, he not only honed his business acumen but also emerged as a confident professional, ultimately securing a placement at Coffee Day Global as a Sales Trainee. In this candid conversation, Amandeep reflects on his decision to pursue PGDM, the invaluable lessons learned, and his aspirations for the future.

“PGDM gave me the skills and confidence I needed to grow”

Amandeep, which course were you pursuing at Apeejay School of Management?
I was pursuing the PGDM course—Postgraduate Diploma in Management. I opted for a specialisation in Marketing and Operations.

And congratulations on your placement too! Tell us about it?
Thank you! I have been placed at Coffee Day Global Limited as a Sales Trainee.I will be joining Coffee Day Global around mid-April.

So, what made you choose this particular course?
Two years ago, I was working with Accenture. But after graduation, I felt there was a gap in my education. I wanted to explore what was trending in the market, what skills were in demand, and how I could grow further. That’s when I decided to quit my job and pursue PGDM at Apeejay School of Management—it was reputed, nearby, and the right fit for me.

How did you realize the need to upskill?
We live in a fast-paced world where staying relevant requires constant learning. It’s not just about academic knowledge; we need practical skills, too. My PGDM specialisation in marketing exposed me to real-world business strategies, customer engagement, and sales techniques. Two years ago, I wasn’t as confident or skilled as I am today. ASM played a big role in this transformation.

What key skills did you gain from the program?
First and foremost—confidence. It’s crucial in any career. I also gained in-depth knowledge about branding, sales, and marketing strategies. I learned how companies operate, how businesses are structured, and what it takes to build a strong market presence. These insights have prepared me for my corporate journey.

Beyond academics, what was life at ASM like?
It was amazing! I was the President of both the Marketing Club and the Cultural Club. Organising events like Diwali, Christmas, and Holi, along with weekly marketing activities for juniors, gave me hands-on experience in teamwork, leadership, and event management. These experiences helped me develop a holistic skill set.

How did the faculty support your journey?
The faculty at ASM was incredibly supportive. They were always available to clear doubts and guide us. Their mentorship played a significant role in shaping my career. I never felt lost—they made sure I was prepared for every challenge.

What’s next for you?
Right now, I’m excited to begin my journey at Coffee Day Global. I look forward to applying everything I’ve learned and growing further in the corporate world!
