Marking the successful inauguration of Industry-Cum-Academic Orientation programme, Apeejay Institute of Mass Communication (AIMC), Dwarka , conducts the next round of the ongoing programme. This brought a fresh wave of excitement with a visit from RJ Saatvik Arora, a renowned radio jockey and proud alumnus of the institute.

Such kind of orientation cum industry programme is essential for new students as it familiarises them with campus resources, academic expectations, and networking opportunities. RJ Saatvik, known for his captivating voice and infectious energy, shared his journey in the world of radio with the aspiring media professionals. His session, “The Art of Radio Jockeying,” offered a glimpse into the dynamic and exciting world of broadcasting.

From sharing behind-the-scenes stories of live broadcasts and studio antics to providing practical tips on audience engagement and scriptwriting, his insights were invaluable. He emphasised the importance of authenticity, creativity, and a deep connection with listeners, explaining how these qualities are essential for a successful radio jockey.

Students were truly inspired by his experiences and advice. His words fueled my passion for radio and gave me a clearer understanding of the skills and qualities needed to succeed in the industry. He explained that authenticity is key to connecting with listeners and building a loyal following.

The students left the session feeling motivated and eager to apply his teachings to their own work. The students realised that radio jockeying is more than just reading scripts; it’s about engaging with listeners on a personal level and creating a memorable experience. RJ Satvik’s masterclass was a valuable opportunity for the students to learn from a  professional and gain practical insights into the world of radio.

The second day also witnessed an unforgettable session by Ms. Ashima Mehra, the CEO of FCB India. Mehra, a renowned figure in the marketing industry. She captivated the audience with her insights into the power of creativity in driving brand success.

In her keynote presentation, titled “Creativity in Marketing Communication,” Ms. Mehra delved into the art and science of crafting compelling campaigns that resonate with audiences. She shared inspiring examples of groundbreaking marketing strategies, demonstrating how creativity can transform brands and spark conversations.

She emphasised the importance of thinking outside the box and challenging conventional wisdom. She encouraged students to embrace new technologies and stay updated on industry trends to remain competitive. Additionally, she highlighted the significance of understanding consumer behavior and tailoring marketing messages to meet their needs and aspirations.
