In the 2024-2025 academic session, several students from Apeejay School, Saket, have excelled in their academic pursuits. Their dedication, hard work, and unique strategies offer valuable insights into how they manage their studies while excelling in various fields. Here’s what three of the school’s top achievers had to say about their academic journeys, personal interests, and future aspirations.
Swastik Sahu:
Swastik Sahu, a Class 10 student, scored an impressive 97.4% in Class 9. With the board exams on the horizon, Swastik has already devised a strategy to balance theory and practical subjects effectively. “For theory subjects like SST and Science, I make notes and focus on key points. For practical subjects like Maths and Coding, I practice regularly,” he shared. His approach to revision is structured – starting his revision a week before exams, ensuring ample time for all subjects. “I believe in completing my syllabus before the exams so that revision becomes easier,” he added.
Swastik’s passion for medicine is also noteworthy. With a goal of pursuing a medical career, he plans to take up PCB in Class 11 and later appear for the NEET exams. “My father is a doctor, and his guidance has inspired me to follow this path,” Swastik explained. His interest in ophthalmology, specifically the eye care field, reflects his deep enthusiasm for medical science. Apart from academics, Swastik enjoys singing classical music, a hobby inspired by his musical family background, and also plays the harmonium.
Brahmanshi Sharma:
Brahmanshi Sharma, another top performer from Class 9, also achieved a remarkable score of 97.4%. She credits her success to a balanced combination of school support and self-study. “The guidance of my teachers is invaluable, but self-study is key. I make time for both,” Brahmanshi shared. During exams, she follows a calm routine of revising key notes, looking at revision sheets provided by teachers, and ensuring a good night’s sleep. “I try not to stress too much; focusing on what’s necessary is important,” she explained.
Brahmanshi aspires to pursue engineering, with plans to take PCM in Class 11 and aim for prestigious institutions like IIT. “Coming from a family of engineers, I’ve always been fascinated by science and mathematics,” she said. She is already preparing for this next step by focusing on strengthening her foundational knowledge in science and math. Brahmanshi believes that consistency is the most vital habit for academic success. “It’s not about studying intensely just before exams, but being consistent throughout the year,” she advised.
Shivam Chauhan:
Shivam Chauhan, a Class 10 student at Apeejay School, Saket, achieved a commendable score of 90.6% in Class 9. Shivam has proven to be a steady achiever in his academic journey. His dedication and hard work reflect in his scores, demonstrating his strong grasp on his subjects.
