Fit India Mission launches ‘Fit India Champions’ podcast series

The Fit India Mission, a flagship initiative of the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, is set to unveil its ‘Fit India Champions’ podcast series in collaboration with GOQii, a prominent player in the fitness sector leveraging digital and multimedia technology for health management.

Scheduled to kick off on January 27, 2024, the series will spotlight the extraordinary achievements and motivational tales of India’s sports heroes. The inaugural episode features Sheetal Devi, the sensational armless archer, who clinched gold at the 2023 Asian Para Games in Hangzhou on her debut.

Following the compelling debut, the podcast series will feature World and Olympic javelin champion Neeraj Chopra as the second guest on February 10, 2024. Chopra will delve into the lesser-known aspects of his professional journey and discuss the importance of a healthy lifestyle for peak mental performance.

Conducted by Ekta Vishnoi, the Deputy Director General of the Sports Authority of India and Mission Director of Fit India, the 10-part series promises intimate and insightful conversations. The episodes will be accessible on various digital and social media platforms, including YouTube, releasing every second and fourth Saturday.

Featuring a diverse lineup, the podcast series includes discussions with athletes and fitness influencers such as Arjun Vajpayee, Tokyo Paralympics gold medalist Sumit Antil, and Commonwealth Games 2022 gold medalist boxer Nitu Ghanghas.
