In today’s world, where unforeseen emergencies can arise at any moment, equipping students with life-saving knowledge is just as essential as academic instruction. Recognising the critical importance of safety education, Apeejay School, Noida, organised a comprehensive Fire Safety Workshop, aimed at building awareness, preparedness, and confidence among students and staff in handling fire-related emergencies.

The session was conducted by Mr SN Singh, Fire Safety Officer from the Fire Station, Phase-1, Sector-2, Noida, along with his team of seven trained officials. With an emphasis on real-world application, the workshop served as a practical guide to understanding fire hazards and responding appropriately under pressure.

Throughout the session, students and staff were educated on the types of fires, fire prevention strategies, and the various types of fire extinguishers, as well as their correct usage. Mr Singh and his team offered live demonstrations, showing the steps involved in operating extinguishers, and discussed emergency evacuation procedures that need to be followed in case of a fire outbreak.

A key highlight of the workshop was its interactive format, where students actively participated, asked questions, and even tried their hands at using mock fire safety equipment under supervision. The officials also discussed the importance of periodic fire drills, ensuring the school community remains prepared at all times.

The session not only reinforced the school’s commitment to student safety but also instilled a deeper sense of responsibility and alertness among the participants. The insights provided were both practical and empowering, making students aware of how small preventive measures and calm thinking can help avert a crisis.

By integrating safety education into its learning ecosystem, the school continues to shape not just well-informed students but also responsible citizens ready to act wisely in emergencies. The workshop proved to be an invaluable learning experience, leaving everyone better prepared and more confident to face fire-related contingencies.
