Finding happiness in lockdown

Hello, everyone! I am Devanshi, and today I am going to share my experience about my life before and after the lockdown. So, before the lockdown, our life was normal. We used to go to school, play with our friends, and wait for our parents to return home from the office so we could play with them, visit our favourite places during weekends, and go on trips during holidays. We had been accustomed to this lifestyle for years.
Then the pandemic hit, and everything changed when the lockdown was imposed. All our classes were conducted virtually, and we couldn’t meet our friends or go out to play. We were confined to our houses, and it was no fun.
One day, I complained to my parents that everything was boring, and there was no happiness and fun. My parents asked me to think about something positive about the lockdown that I liked the most. I didn’t have to think hard. I said it was spending more time with my parents and family members because earlier, we could only spend extended periods together on weekends since everyone went out to work.

My parents patted my back and said, “Exactly! Always look on the bright side of every situation.” Since then, I have never complained, and now I know that we don’t find happiness in things; rather, we create happiness in whatever situation we are in.
