Finance Meets Fun at FINAST₹A’s Crossword Puzzle Activity

The Finance Club of Apeejay School of Management (ASM), FINAST₹A, organised an engaging Finance Crossword Puzzle Activity as part of its ongoing efforts to promote experiential learning among students. The initiative was thoughtfully designed to strengthen students’ understanding of core concepts in finance, accounting, and economics through an interactive and application-oriented format.

The activity required students to participate in teams of two and solve a specially curated finance-based crossword puzzle within a stipulated time. The puzzle comprised important financial terms and conceptual clues covering diverse areas of finance and economics. By integrating learning with problem-solving, the activity aimed to enhance conceptual clarity, analytical thinking, teamwork, and time management skills.

Participants were evaluated on the basis of accuracy, speed, and effective coordination with their teammates. The competitive format encouraged students to think critically while reinforcing theoretical knowledge in a practical and enjoyable manner. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation and high levels of engagement, creating a vibrant learning atmosphere that was both competitive and collaborative.

Harjas Kaur and Sonakshi Saxena secured the first position with their impressive performance, demonstrating strong conceptual understanding and excellent teamwork. The second position was awarded to Daksh Agarwal and Deepti for their commendable effort and analytical approach.

Sharing her thoughts on the initiative, Sukriti Jain, President of FINAST₹A Club, remarked, “The Finance Crossword Puzzle Activity was a creative and effective way to reinforce financial concepts. It was encouraging to see students actively participate, collaborate, and apply their knowledge in a fun yet competitive setting. Such activities contribute significantly to experiential learning and student engagement.”

Expressing their experience, the first prize winners, Harjas and Sonakshi, stated, “The crossword puzzle activity was both enjoyable and challenging. It helped us revise key financial concepts while working together as a team. The activity made learning finance interactive and memorable.”

The event was organised under the guidance of Faculty Coordinators Dr. Pooja Chaturvedi Sharma and Prof. Nupur Soti, whose mentorship ensured the smooth execution of the activity. The student coordination team included Sukriti Jain (President), Ashutosh Pandey (Vice-President), and Anupreksha Jain (Secretary). The efforts of student volunteers Shreya Vishwakarma, Sweta Kumari, and Sudiksha Dwivedi were instrumental in managing the event effectively.

The Finance Crossword Puzzle Activity successfully combined academic rigor with creativity, reaffirming FINAST₹A’s commitment to fostering innovative learning practices. By blending knowledge with engagement, the club continues to create platforms that make financial education dynamic, collaborative, and impactful for management students.
