Farewell for class 12: A tribute to the memories and lessons learnt

The farewell for class XII students holds profound significance, marking a pivotal moment in their academic and personal development journey. The farewell event at Apeejay School, Mahavir Marg, symbolised the end of an influential chapter for students who have spent over a decade in the nurturing environment of school life — a period characterised by learning, growth, and resilience. This celebration acknowledged the achievements, memories, and challenges each student encountered, shaping them into adaptable individuals.

As high school drew to a close for class XII students, the teachers and class XI students paid tribute to the graduating class XII, turning the farewell into a mosaic of memories that captured the essence of personal growth and the enduring relationships built over time.

On February 3, 2024, the ceremony began with the traditional lighting of the lamp, followed by an address from Principal Ms Sangeeta Nistandra. She imparted wisdom and guidance, urging students to balance their ambitions with expectations from family and society. Her speech highlighted the seniors as exemplary figures, leaving them with blessings for future success and the hope to contribute meaningfully to society.

The event was a heartfelt send-off, filled with performances that ranged from a Hindi choir to dynamic Bhangra and touching band melodies, all depicting the vibrant school life. It also featured a Hindi play that reminded students of the constant support from their Alma Mater and teachers, regardless of where life leads them.

Awards for ‘The Most Cooperative’, ‘The Most Disciplined’, and ‘The Well Dressed’ were presented, celebrating the students’ contributions and boosting their morale. The crowning of Mr and Ms Farewell added a special touch, accompanied by messages from the graduating class that reflected on their cherished school moments and the indelible mark the school left on their hearts.

The ceremony concluded with expressions of gratitude from the head girl and boy, thanking Apeejay School for its guiding light and opportunities that shaped their characters. Class XI’s farewell messages to their seniors were filled with hope for future gatherings and well-wishes for their next journey.
