Expert lecture on patents and copyrights to foster innovation and awareness

The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of Apeejay Institute of Management & Engineering Technical Campus (AIMETC), Jalandhar, successfully organised an insightful expert lecture on the topic “Understanding the Nature and Registration Process of Patents and Copyrights”. The session aimed at spreading awareness about intellectual property rights (IPR) and was graced by the esteemed presence of Dr. S.K. Gupta, Managing Director, ICMAI Registered Valuer Organisation and a distinguished authority in the field.

Dr. Gupta’s lecture provided a comprehensive overview of the concepts of patents and copyrights, their growing relevance in both academia and industry, and the legal frameworks surrounding them. Emphasising the rising significance of intellectual property in today’s innovation-driven world, he explained how patents and copyrights can safeguard original ideas and creative outputs. He also outlined the step-by-step registration process in India, equipping attendees with practical knowledge of legal formalities.
