The school supports students by providing a balanced and structured learning environment that focuses on both academics and personal development. “We chose Apeejay School, Tanda Road, because the teachers are cooperative and skilled in their teaching methods. I am already familiar with the school and its staff, as my elder son studied in the same branch from nursery, which built my trust and confidence in the school’s quality of education,” shares Dr Baljit Jassal, whose son, Anoop, studies in Class VI here.
Read on to know how regular assessments, feedback, and doubt-clearing sessions help strengthen learning.
How are the teachers supporting him?
Teachers actively support him by encouraging him to participate in co-curricular activities while also motivating him to maintain strong academic performance. They provide guidance, positive reinforcement, and opportunities to build confidence, ensuring he continues to grow both personally and academically with consistent effort and enthusiasm every day and stay focused.
Which extracurricular activities help in his holistic being?
His holistic development is supported through activities like playing with toy cars and Lego sets, which enhance creativity, and playing chess with his elder brother, which builds strategic thinking. He also participated in a chess competition organised by the District Chess Association, Jalandhar, where he won a consolation prize last year.
How is the parent-teacher interaction here?
Parent-teacher interactions have always been positive and constructive. During PTMs, teachers communicate openly and provide clear feedback about his progress. They patiently address any concerns or doubts, ensuring parents are well-informed and involved. This supportive communication helps in understanding his needs better and contributes to his overall academic and personal development.
How do you handle his studies at home?
At home, his studies are managed through regular monitoring and consistent routines. I check his school diary and homework notes daily to stay updated on classwork and assignments. This helps ensure timely completion of tasks, reinforces learning, and keeps me actively involved in his academic progress and overall discipline.
What are the strengths of this school?
It lies in its experienced teachers, many of whom have 13-14 years of teaching experience here. They are well-versed in effective teaching methods and understand children’s behaviour. They recognise that each child learns differently and at their own pace, making the teaching staff the true backbone of the school.
