If talk about technology significantly, it has revolutionised various industries including education. With the advancement of technology. Students now have access to a wide range of resources and tools that enhance today’s overall learning experience. From interactive online platforms to educational apps, technology has made education more accessible, allowing students to access educational material anytime, anywhere.

If we dive into the depth of wide history, we will observe the remarkable and drastic change it has made in our daily lives including learning, for instance, initially, it was like between a rock and a hard place to store information and research about things, but now it’s like a piece of cake!

With extensive use of technology, it’s like a nail-biter to gain knowledge about significant topics in a pitch of seconds!

Overall, technology has had a positive impact on education by facilitating personalised learning, fostering collaboration, and preparing students for the digital age. But does that mean technology and digital lives are sweet in every way? We have heard that munching lots of sweets may impact our health!

 While technology has brought numerous benefits to education, it’s important to acknowledge some of the challenges it possesses as well.

• Distraction

One common concern is the potential of distractions, such as social media or gaming, which can divert students’ attention, regarding context ‘social media and gaming not only snatches your time but it also teaches you attention deficiency which makes you out to lunch’, hence excessive use of social media platform gets you spaced out.

• Limitation of Educational opportunities

Additionally, not all students have equal access to technology, which can create a digital divide and limit their educational opportunities. This signifies that for some students access to technology and the internet may be limited due to lack of infrastructure, affordability, or digital literacy, which shall abate their potential future and opportunities.

It is also crucial to address issues of privacy and security when using technology. Cyberbullying is a serious issue, it refers to the use of technology to harass, intimidate, or harm others online. It can take many forms, such as spreading rumours, posting hurtful comments, or sharing embarrassing photos or videos. Cyberbullying can have severe emotional and psychological effects on the victim. It is critical to learn that people can access to your personal information through your accounts. For instance, oversharing on social media can compromise your privacy and put you at risk for identity, theft, fraud, and other cyber threats which can affect your social life, mental health, learning skills, and more.

However, despite of challenges that occur while using technology, there are some possible solutions that can protect ourselves from potential negative impacts of technology is definitely important. Here are a few tips to consider:

 Establish limits on screen time and create designated tech-free zones or times to help balance your use of technology.
