The tiny tots at Apeejay Rhythms Kinderworld, Jalandhar, put together a brilliant show of their talent at their annual day programme: ‘Euphoria’. Marking 10 successful years of school, the cultural programme ushered in the culmination of a prolific journey in 2022 and the beginning of a joyous new year.

To add to the glory of the event, Shikha Bhagat (PCS), joint commissioner, municipal corporation, Jalandhar, was present on the occasion as the chief guest. She was felicitated by the school principal Malkiat Singh and headmistress Namrata Sharma. Other eminent guests included the principals of Apeejay School, Mahavir Marg, and Apeejay School, Rama Mandi, among others.

From group songs to energetic dance performances, the pre-primary students grabbed the attention of one and all with their cheerful and confident presence on the stage. Expressing her delight about the wonderful performances, the chief guest said, “I am highly impressed with the students and the teachers and parents who worked very hard. Children are the most beautiful creation of God, and they are lucky that their parents made the right choice by selecting Rhythms Kinderworld. It is not only about academic excellence but the all-round development of children.

“As parents, we should not pressurise students. Life may be a race, but children should follow their own pace. I wish all the best to all the parents and students for their future.”

The programme, as the title suggests, harped on the true well-being and happiness of children without any worry about the future. It began with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp followed by an invocation of Lord Ganesh through Ganesh Vandana. Children also sang their school anthem before moving on to back-to-back dances.

The principal took the dais to read out the school’s annual report. “Success is not just determined by one’s ability but by resilience and hard work. As we step into the new year, the challenges brought about by the pandemic remain, but we are now wiser. Not adversity but our reaction to adversity will determine our future.”

The principal went on to enumerate the wide range of activities and programmes conducted by the school to foster children’s holistic growth right from their foundational years. “At Apeejay, excellence is measured in many ways, academics is just one. It is a culture that inspires creativity.” He expressed gratitude to Apeejay’s founder chairman late Dr Stya Paul and his only daughter and the current president Mrs Sushma Paul Berlia. He also thanked Mr Aditya Berlia, Mr Nishant Berlia and Dr Neha Berlia, for their continued efforts to help Apeejay soar higher.

The principal added, “The annual day is a celebration of emotions, achievements, and determination. Apeejay Rhythms Kinderworld is striving for excellence with sincerity of purpose, independence of thought and action while developing sensitivity to others’ well-being and happiness.”

The biggest highlight of the event was a thought-provoking drama enacted by the little Apeejayites who said their dialogues confidently.

The annual day programme concluded with a formal vote of thanks by school incharge Nidhi Ghai, followed by the National Anthem.
