Installation ceremonies are significant events in school life as they mark the formal recognition of student leadership. These ceremonies instil responsibility, celebrate democratic values, and inspire young minds to contribute meaningfully to their school and society through service and teamwork.

Hence, Apeejay School, Kharghar, held the Installation Ceremony of its Interact Club for the academic session 2025–26 on June 20, 2025, with great enthusiasm and solemnity. The event marked the formal induction of the new office bearers and was a celebration of youthful leadership, commitment to service, and community spirit. 

The ceremony commenced with the arrival of distinguished guests, including the Chief Guest, Mr Dhananjoy Sarkar, members of the Rotary Club, the school Principal, teachers, and students. A serene invocation song, followed by a prayer and the ceremonial lighting of the lamp, set a spiritual and purposeful tone for the occasion. The school song echoed through the hall, reinforcing unity and institutional pride. 

In a warm welcome address, the significance of the Interact movement — which nurtures leadership and a sense of social responsibility in young students — was highlighted. The guests were felicitated with floral bouquets as a gesture of gratitude and appreciation. Ms Sonali Balwatkar, the principal of the school, encouraged the new office bearers to lead with integrity, compassion, and initiative, while upholding the Rotary motto, “Service Above Self.” 

A video presentation showcased the remarkable service projects undertaken by the Interact Club over the past year. From environmental drives to community outreach programmes, the club’s contributions reflected dedication, empathy, and innovation.

The core of the event — the Installation Ceremony — featured the formal pinning of badges and the symbolic handover of duties from the outgoing team to the newly elected leaders. The outgoing president shared heartfelt reflections, expressing gratitude for the learning experience. The incoming president then outlined an inspiring vision for the year ahead, focusing on inclusivity, impactful service, and student-led initiatives.  

The Chief Guest’s speech resonated deeply with the audience, as he lauded the school for nurturing future-ready leaders and urged the students to lead with courage and empathy.

The event concluded with a vote of thanks and a commemorative group photograph, followed by light refreshments and informal interactions — truly a fitting celebration of leadership and service.
