The MAC Forum of the Department of Commerce and Management at Apeejay College of Fine Arts, Jalandhar proudly hosted its Investiture Ceremony, a landmark occasion dedicated to honoring the spirit of leadership and responsibility among students. The event brought together faculty and students in a vibrant celebration of dedication, teamwork, and achievement.
A total of twenty-four students were conferred with badges of honor, a gesture symbolizing their commitment to the Forum’s values and their readiness to shoulder responsibilities. The ceremony, held under the guidance of Dr. Monika Mogla and coordinated by Ms. Garima Arora, reflected an atmosphere filled with pride, accomplishment, and optimism for the future.
One of the key highlights of the event was the formal introduction of the student-led committees that form the backbone of the MAC Forum’s initiatives. These included the Event Management Committee, Creative Management Committee, Technical Committee, Stage Handling Committee, Logistics Committee, Sports Committee, Discipline Committee, and Cultural Committee. Each committee signifies the Forum’s holistic vision of nurturing responsibility, innovation, and teamwork among its members while providing them with real-world opportunities to hone organizational and managerial skills.
The ceremony also marked the official appointment of the core leadership team who will guide the Forum in the upcoming session. Kunwar Armaan Singh (B.Com 5) took charge as President, while Vansh (B.Com 5) assumed the role of Vice President. The responsibility of General Secretary was entrusted to Diya Ahuja (B.Com 5), and Jujhar Thind (BBA 5) was appointed Joint Secretary. The team of Coordinators included Komal Mittal and Himanshi Aggarwal, both from B.Com 5, who will play a crucial role in overseeing and streamlining the Forum’s activities.
In her inspiring address, Principal of Apeejay College of Fine Arts Dr. Neerja Dhingra highlighted the significance of such student-led bodies in shaping well-rounded individuals. She emphasized that the essence of these committees lies not in the distribution of titles but in empowering young learners to take ownership, embrace accountability, and lead with creativity and discipline. Dr. Dhingra also appreciated the Forum for providing an environment where students can nurture leadership potential while contributing positively to the college community.
The event concluded on a note of pride and optimism. The seamless execution of the ceremony, credited to the tireless efforts of the organising team, earned warm appreciation from the audience. It was not just a celebration of positions and badges but a reaffirmation of the Forum’s mission to foster leadership, innovation, and collective responsibility among students.
