Apeejay School, Nerul organised parent orientation for the 2024-25 academic year

Orientation programmes serve as vital bridges between parents, teachers, and school administrators, fostering positive relationships that enhance communication and collaboration throughout the academic year. By educating parents about the school’s activities and educational goals, these programs encourage deeper involvement in their children’s education, often correlating with improved academic and social outcomes for students. 

The Parent Orientation Programme for the academic year 2024-25 was recently organised at Apeejay School, Nerul. The programme took place at the Multi-Purpose Hall of the school and commenced with a poignant acknowledgment of the pivotal roles parents and teachers play in shaping a child’s life. 

The mantra, “A parent is a teacher at home, and a teacher is a parent in school, with the child at the center of our universe,” resonated throughout the event, setting a heartfelt tone.

Distinguished guests, including Mr P Subhash, the Principal of the School, Mrs Preeti Gupta, the Vice-principal of the school and esteemed speakers Mrs Akshata Pankaj Popli and Mrs Shifali Mehra, joined Academic Coordinator Mrs Shakuntala Singh and Primary Coordinator Mrs KC Vijaylakshmi in welcoming the parents. 

Emphasising the school’s commitment to holistic education, the event underscored the collaborative partnership between dedicated educators, enthusiastic students, and supportive parents.

The primary objective of the event was to acquaint parents with the school’s environment, policies, and communication channels, aiming to bridge any gaps for seamless interaction. The event commenced with a prayer and the ceremonial lighting of the lamp, symbolising unity and the collective pursuit of knowledge and positivity.

Mr P Subhash delivered a comprehensive overview of Apeejay’s educational ethos, values, and cultural framework, enlightening the audience about the school’s educational philosophy. 

Following this, Mrs Akshata Pankaj Popli, a Clinical Psychologist and Remedial Educator, shared valuable insights into mental health’s impact on physical well-being, highlighting strategies for supporting children’s mental resilience. Mrs Shifali Mehra, a distinguished dietitian, then provided practical tips on nutrition and healthy living, underscoring their critical role in a child’s holistic development.

Interactive sessions followed, allowing parents to engage directly with the guest speakers, seeking advice and clarifying doubts. As the program concluded, Mrs Preeti Gupta expressed heartfelt gratitude to all participants for their active involvement, emphasising the event’s success in strengthening the school community’s bonds.

The Parent Orientation Programme 2024-25 at Apeejay School, Nerul, not only equipped parents with essential knowledge but also nurtured a supportive network essential for each child’s educational journey. It set a positive precedent for the forthcoming academic year, fostering a collaborative spirit between parents, educators, and administrators in ensuring every student’s success.
