For the same, a series of insightful career counselling sessions were held at Apeejay School, Kharghar, aimed at helping students from classes IX and XI make informed decisions regarding their future academic and professional paths.
The session for class XI students was divided into separate streams for Science and Commerce. The session was led by the distinguished Dr Manish Saraf, a career counseling expert with over 23 years of experience. His credentials include a PhD, an MBA, and a BE, which lend immense credibility to his guidance. Dr Saraf focused on the rapidly evolving educational landscape and the multitude of career opportunities available. He underscored the importance of psychometric testing and aptitude evaluations in understanding students’ strengths and aligning them with potential career paths.
He also shared valuable insights into various professional fields like engineering, management, and entrepreneurship. The key message of his session was the importance of adaptability in today’s fast-changing world. The following day, Mr Anubhav Sinhal, a seasoned professional with over 30 years of experience in the education industry, led a session for class IX students. Holding an MMS. from BITS, Pilani, and an MS in Finance from the US. Mr Sinhal’s diverse experience offered valuable perspectives on early career planning. His session focused on the importance of making informed decisions about subject selection, highlighting how early planning can influence future career paths.
He also emphasised the growing significance of interdisciplinary education and skill development in shaping well-rounded professionals. Mr Sinhal encouraged students to think critically about their interests and strengths, ensuring they choose paths that align with their long-term goals. The interactive Q&A session allowed students to delve into unconventional career paths and explore global trends. Mr. Sinhal’s advice inspired many students to broaden their perspectives and think creatively about their future careers.
