Apeejay School, Nerul recently organised its investiture ceremony for the academic year
2024-25 with great enthusiasm and earnestness. The event commenced with a warm floral welcome of the chief guest, ACP- Navi Mumbai, Mr. Dharmapal Bansode, and three distinguished guests of honour: esteemed alumni Master Mariner (Capt.) Jasim Modak, Dr. Khusmi Shah, and young entrepreneur Miss Mahek Sharma. School Principal, P. Subash, extended a gracious welcome to the dignitaries, followed by the traditional lighting of the lamp ceremony.

In his address to the newly appointed prefectorial members, the Principal emphasised the significant responsibilities they now shoulder as student leaders of this esteemed institution. The students then took part in the solemn oath-taking ceremony, officially committing themselves to lead by example.

Symbolising the mantle of accountability and confidence bestowed upon them, sashes, badges, and respective flags were handed over to the office bearers as they marched towards their new roles and responsibilities. The introduction of the House Masters served as a reminder to the students that they will always have the support and guidance of their teachers throughout this journey.

The school choir added to the solemnity of the occasion with their melodious voices and symphony. The Head Boy delivered an inspiring speech on ‘Leadership and Motivation,’ while the Head Girl spoke passionately about ‘Respecting Our Alma Mater,’ reminding their fellow students of their duties.

Chief Guest ACP Bansode shared encouraging words with the newly appointed leaders, urging them to lead goal-oriented lives and strive towards achieving their aspirations. The guests of honor also shared their experiences at Apeejay School, Nerul, and how the institution has shaped them into who they are today. They motivated the students to embrace learning, as the school fosters qualities essential for nation-building.

Senior house captains then read excerpts from the prefects’ handbook, detailing the essence of being a prefect, the benefits of an effective house system, the principles of prefectship, and the duties of prefects at Apeejay School, Nerul. The ceremony concluded with a vote of thanks, followed by the school song and the national anthem, resonating with the day’s objective of celebrating leadership and responsibility.
