Orientation programmes for the Economically Weaker Section (EWS) play a vital role in bridging the communication gap between schools and families. They foster trust, ensure equal access to resources, and empower parents to support their children’s educational journey, ultimately contributing to more inclusive and equitable learning environments.
On April 15, 2025, Apeejay School, Saket, reaffirmed its commitment to inclusive education by organising a special orientation programme for the parents of students enrolled under the EWS category. The event, held on the open stage of the school premises, served as a warm welcome and a valuable introduction to the school’s ethos, systems, and support mechanisms.
The orientation began with a heartfelt address by the school Principal, Dr Sujeet Eric Masih, who extended a warm welcome to the attending parents. In his speech, he emphasised the school’s dedication to delivering high-quality education to every student, regardless of their economic background. He highlighted the importance of parental involvement and reiterated the school’s resolve to create a nurturing environment where every child can flourish.
A key highlight of the programme was the distribution of school uniforms and academic books to EWS students. This thoughtful gesture aimed to reduce the financial stress that often accompanies the beginning of an academic year. By ensuring students are equipped with essential educational materials from the outset, the school not only supported their learning but also boosted their morale and sense of belonging.
The event also included an overview of the school’s academic calendar, classroom expectations, and available student support services. Teachers and staff interacted with parents, answering their questions and providing clarity on various aspects of school life. This dialogue helped build a sense of trust and collaboration between the school and the families it serves.

Parents expressed deep gratitude for the initiative, praising the school’s inclusive approach and its genuine concern for the holistic development of every child. Many shared that the orientation helped them feel more confident and connected to their child’s educational journey.
By organising this orientation, Apeejay School, Saket, has taken a commendable step towards fostering a more inclusive and supportive educational ecosystem. The programme is expected to positively influence the academic progress and emotional well-being of EWS students, ensuring they feel valued and empowered within the school community.
