Be it a new academic session or a new job, fresh beginnings are always positive. Thus invoking optimism for the new academic session, Apeejay College of Fine Arts (ACFA) in Jalandhar recently organised a Hawan ceremony, a traditional Indian ritual that symbolises purification and the invocation of divine blessings. This ceremony marked an auspicious beginning, fostering a positive and serene environment for students and staff as they embark on a new academic journey.

On the occasion, students, teaching as well as non-teaching staff dedicated their prayers to Ma Saraswati, the goddess of learning, who is revered for her wisdom and knowledge.
Subsequently, Dr. Neerja Dhingra, Principal of the college, warmly welcomed the students and staff at the commencement of the new session. In her address, she emphasised the college’s commitment to supporting students in realising their dreams. Dr. Dhingra assured the students that every effort would be made to provide them with the necessary resources and guidance to achieve their academic and personal goals.

She highlighted the college’s dedication to the mission of its Founder Chairman, Dr. Stya Paul, who envisioned creating an institution that fosters holistic development. This vision includes providing facilities and opportunities that nurture not just academic excellence but also emotional, social, and cultural growth. Dr. Dhingra’s words were both inspiring and reassuring, setting a positive tone for the new academic year.

The new students were also given an overview of the college’s functioning. The ceremony concluded with the distribution of sweets among the students, a gesture that symbolises sharing joy and positivity.
