She is eyeing to make grand professional entry into the computer science venture soon, for now she is polishing her aptitude and inclination for computation and data structure. Meet Mansa Verma who passed out of Apeejay School, Noida in 2021. In a candid interview, Mansa narrates about her good old days at her alma mater including her valuable learnings.

What are you pursuing now after school?

I am currently pursuing a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science at Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology, Patiala. It’s a dynamic and challenging field that keeps evolving, and I’m excited to be a part of it.

What are your dreams and goal in life?

My goal is to become a skilled developer in the field of Artificial Intelligence or Cybersecurity. I want to contribute to real-world solutions that can help people and make technology more accessible, secure, and intelligent.

How has AI redefined Computer Science in today’s world?

AI has completely transformed Computer Science — from automating repetitive tasks to enabling complex decision-making systems like self-driving cars and advanced healthcare diagnostics. It’s also powering tools we use every day, like recommendation systems, language translators, and voice assistants. The integration of AI has expanded the scope of CS beyond traditional coding to solving human problems in smarter ways.

What are the professional avenues for CS aspirants?

CS aspirants today have a wide range of opportunities:

How were your teachers at school?

My school teachers were incredibly supportive and played a big role in shaping my interest in science and technology. They encouraged curiosity, problem-solving, and always pushed me to explore beyond the textbooks.

Share your favourite nostalgia from school.

One of my favourite memories is the time spent with friends during school fests and annual functions — from late-night prep to last-minute changes, those moments built lifelong friendships and taught me teamwork in a fun way.

Any message for your fellow school mates?

Always stay curious and don’t be afraid to ask questions or take risks. Your school years build your foundation — so make the most of them, and don’t let marks define your potential. Keep learning and growing — the world is full of opportunities!
