Khushboo Verma is one of those rare souls who gained clarity early on in life about her career ambitions. She is currently pursuing Economics Honours from Kamla Nehru College, University of Delhi. She is giving exams for the final semester and plans to prepare for government exams in the near future. In an informal chat, Khusbhoo let us know about her vision ahead. Read edited excerpts:
What are your plans after graduation?
I will begin preparing for Government sector jobs. I aim to crack the SSC and RBI exams and get the job. I am more focussed for RBI and I am be working towards that.
Throwback to the Apeejay years now?
I joined Apeejay Svran Global School in Faridabad in class 11 and took commerce with Math. The next year i.e. class 12 was affected by the lockdown. I just went to the school for the exams but despite this, my two years in the school were a beautiful part of my life. The teachers were great supporters, they never made me feel new or out of the place. I always felt included and I am still in contact with all my friends, they were all so welcoming.
Which activities were you a part of there?
I became the head girl in class 12. It was a wonder as I achieved the position in such a short period of time. I also did anchoring for the farewell to my seniors in class 11. And I was also part of a dance presentation in that event.
A happening year! So did the teachers guide you well for the board exams?
Yes. I scored 93% and it’s all thanks to them. They guided me throughout the year and were very patient and cooperating.
But why Economics, what’s the inspiration behind it?
I wanted to pursue Economics in my graduation because I wanted to go for Government jobs. I began loving the subject in class 10 and realised that in order to clear the RBI exams , Economics is a must.
