Apeejay School, Panchsheel Park celebrated the spirit of Diwali with an engaging activity for students of classes III, IV, and V, bringing out the true essence of creativity and joy ahead of the festival. The event embodied the quote, “Creativity is the spark that ignites the flame of imagination!” and gave students a chance to express their artistic talents.
The activity saw class III students decorating diyas and candles with vibrant paints, glitter, and stickers, transforming them into beautiful, festive pieces. Their creations were a sight to behold, filled with colour and imaginative designs. Meanwhile, students from classes IV and V crafted eye-catching wall hangings and torans using paper, glue, and other craft materials. With intricate patterns and thoughtful designs, they succeeded in creating decorative pieces that truly embodied the festive spirit.
Throughout the activity, students not only honed their motor skills but also learnt about the cultural significance of Diwali. Teachers guided them on the customs associated with the festival, explaining the values of light, togetherness, and gratitude that Diwali represents. Working on their projects together also fostered teamwork and a sense of community among students, enhancing the experience further.

Speaking about the crucial teachings that were imparted to students through such activities, Ms Garima Gaube, Activity In-charge shared, “As teachers, we aim to make each activity a meaningful learning experience. Through our Diwali crafts session, we encouraged students to explore their creativity while deepening their understanding of the festival’s values — light, unity, and gratitude. Working together on these projects helped them build teamwork and a sense of community, making the celebration even more memorable for everyone.”
Excitement and creativity filled the air as students took pride in their creations and shared their work with friends and teachers. The activity left them even more enthusiastic about the upcoming festival, eager to bring their creations home and share the festive joy with their families.
The Diwali activity at Apeejay School, Panchsheel Park successfully ignited the spark of creativity, turning it into a bright flame that shone through each student’s work. It was a celebration not only of the festival but of the imagination and creativity that it inspired, making for an unforgettable experience that brought festive joy to young hearts.
