Apeejay School, Saket recently hosted a vibrant and enriching Parent Orientation Programme for the parents of students from Classes 1 to 5. The thoughtfully curated session aimed to strengthen the parent-school partnership and equip parents with effective strategies to support their children’s holistic development.

The event, held on the school premises, was marked by insightful discussions and a warm exchange of ideas. It served as a platform to familiarise parents with the school’s ethos, academic structure, and co-curricular offerings, while also addressing crucial aspects of early childhood care and parenting.

The highlight of the orientation was an engaging and interactive session by the esteemed guest speaker, Ms. Pratibha Malhotra, Consultant Psychologist. With her extensive experience in child psychology and parenting guidance, Ms. Malhotra shared valuable insights on how parents can create a nurturing environment at home. Her talk focused on understanding children’s emotional needs, fostering open communication, and building resilience in young learners.

In addition, she addressed essential topics related to child safety – both physical and emotional. Parents were guided on how to identify signs of distress in children, implement age-appropriate boundaries, and instill confidence in their wards to speak up and express themselves freely. The session also emphasised the importance of balanced screen time, peer relationships, and mental well-being in the digital age.

Speaking about the importance of such engagements, Principal Dr Sujeet Eric Masih shared, “In our pursuit for excellence and give the best to our children.” His words resonated deeply with the audience, highlighting the school’s commitment to holistic education.

Research shows that when schools and families work together, children are more likely to succeed academically and socially.

Such orientation programmes go a long way in fostering strong partnerships, paving the way for a brighter, more secure future for children. Apeejay School, Saket continues to uphold its commitment to providing a nurturing, child-centric environment that encourages growth, learning, and well-being.
