Delhi govt releases advisory on conjunctivitis for schools

The Delhi government has recently issued a crucial advisory for both private and government schools in response to a notable increase in conjunctivitis (eye flu) cases across the capital. To combat the spread of the infection, the authorities have urged all schools and students to prioritise cleanliness and hygiene, particularly by maintaining regular handwashing practices.

Additionally, students are advised not to touch their eyes without washing their hands, and to refrain from sharing personal items like towels, lenses, or spectacles to prevent transmission. To ensure widespread awareness, all schools are required to prominently display the advisory on notice boards, assembly halls, and announce it during school assemblies. By adhering to these guidelines, the government aims to safeguard the health of students and create a protective environment against conjunctivitis in educational institutions.
