Apeejay Stya University (ASU), Gurugram successfully hosted its five-day orientation programme “Deeksharambh 2025” for the newly admitted batch of 2025–26, creating a memorable start to the academic journey of freshers. The event was thoughtfully curated to help students and their families transition smoothly into university life, combining academic guidance with cultural, social, and skill-based activities.

The programme commenced where students and parents were formally welcomed. The registration process laid the foundation for an organised and comfortable entry into ASU.

The new journey began with a formal inauguration marked by a traditional lamp-lighting ceremony and a short film on the Founder Chairman of Apeejay Stya Group & Apeejay Education Dr. Stya Paul. Cultural vibrancy filled the atmosphere with inaugural performances by AIU Youth Festival winners, followed by their felicitation. Vice Chancellor Prof. Vijay Vir Singh delivered the keynote address, urging students “to embrace innovation, creativity, and skill development as crucial drivers of success in a rapidly evolving world.”

He reminded them, “Excellence lies not only in classroom learning but also in the pursuit of practical skills and innovative thinking.” Prof. Vimala Veeraraghavan, Dean (Academics), further reassured parents about ASU’s commitment to holistic education rooted in the liberal arts tradition, emphasising the university’s role in shaping responsible global citizens.

Day 4 began with a high-energy Zumba session, setting an enthusiastic tone. Students interacted with alumni, followed by important sessions on anti-ragging awareness and a thought-provoking Nukkad Natak. They also met Deans, HODs, and mentors, gaining insights into their respective schools. The day concluded with an engaging introduction to ASU’s clubs, societies, and sports activities, highlighting the diverse avenues for co-curricular participation.

The final day was designed to prepare students academically and emotionally for the road ahead. Sessions on library resources and a Dynamic Team Building Workshop by Ms. Rekha Bhardwaj, Former GM (L&D), BHEL, encouraged collaboration and leadership. This was followed by a vital talk on mental health and well-being by Dr. Manju from the School of Behavioural Sciences. The programme concluded with a comprehensive orientation on ASU’s academic and examination systems, Moodle, ERP, and liberal arts course selections.

Deeksharambh 2025 successfully blended tradition, innovation, and mentorship, setting the tone for a transformative learning journey for the new batch.
