Debate competitions empower students to think critically, express ideas confidently, and listen respectfully. They cultivate future leaders by honing reasoning, public speaking, and empathy — skills essential for a vibrant democracy. Apeejay School, Panchsheel Park, recently hosted the second edition of DebateAble 2025, an inter-school debate competition. As part of its Golden Jubilee celebrations, the event brought together over 125 articulate young minds from leading schools across Delhi-NCR for a day of spirited discourse and meaningful exchange of ideas.
Divided into two categories — Classes XI–XII (Group I) and Classes IX–X (Group II) — the competition was a dynamic platform for students to engage with pressing contemporary issues. Group I debated the thought-provoking motion: Freedom of Speech – A right with limits or a limitless right? Contestants dived deep into the nuances of free expression, examining its importance and its ethical boundaries in today’s world.
Group II explored the motion: Destroying Legacy is Moral Depravation. Participants delved into the tension between preserving cultural and historical legacies and the need for societal progression, bringing a refreshing blend of tradition and forward-thinking to the fore.
The event saw participation from some of the region’s most reputed schools, including Sanskriti School, Apeejay School (Faridabad), Bal Bharati School (Pitampura), and The Mother’s International School. With a panel of distinguished judges and an enthusiastic audience, the day was a true celebration of logic, clarity, and conviction.
In Group I, the First Position was shared by Sanskriti School and Apeejay School, Faridabad. In Group II, Bal Bharati School, Pitampura, and The Mother’s International School emerged victorious.
DebateAble 2025 was not just a competition — it was a tribute to 50 years of Apeejay School, Panchsheel Park’s legacy of excellence and value-based education.
