In a heartfelt conversation, the mother of Saanvi and Ruhani Chodha, students at Apeejay School, Mahavir Marg, Jalandhar, shared how the school has played an instrumental role in shaping her daughters’ confidence, academic progress, and extracurricular involvement.

She highlighted that her choice of Apeejay was based on its excellent reputation in nurturing both academic and holistic development, a decision reinforced by her family’s positive experiences with the school. “I chose Apeejay because it’s excellent for both extracurricular activities and academics. How has Saanvi’s confidence improved since joining Apeejay?
Saanvi has become much more confident. She has great stage presence and doesn’t hesitate when speaking to people. Whether we’re at gatherings or school events, she speaks confidently. She participates in various activities like Punjabi and Hindi declamations, where she has won first place twice in a row for Punjabi.

How supportive are the teachers at Apeejay?
The teachers are very helpful. From nursery to now, we’ve never had any problems. I can call any teacher if needed. I still have a great bond with her pre-primary teachers. They have been incredibly supportive, and this extends to her current teachers as well.

How does the school help in building Saanvi’s public speaking and presentation skills?
Apeejay helps students build confidence. Even from a young age, Saanvi participated in events like fancy dress competitions and won prizes. It’s clear that Apeejay children stand out — they are confident and don’t have stage fear.

Tell us a bit about your younger daughter, Ruhani.
Ruhani is in third grade at the same school. She’s interested in drawing and dancing and is very talkative. She shares a lovely bond with her teachers, and they all praise her. Both of my daughters are always excited to go to school, even when they’re not feeling well.

How do the school’s facilities and environment contribute to your daughters’ enthusiasm for learning?
The school provides a lot of opportunities, and the environment is very encouraging. My daughters are always eager to go to school and participate in different activities. The supportive atmosphere helps them stay motivated and engaged.

How do you feel about the attendance and health policies at Apeejay?
The school is very understanding about health issues. If my daughters are unwell, they still prefer to go to school and only call me if they feel they need to come home. This shows their dedication and love for the school.
