Thou hast invaded my heart,

And made it a mere slave.

Thou hast filled it with love,
For my heart was an empty cave.

My beauty, my love, my dearest reverie,

My heart shall beat forever for thee.

My love shall endure forever

Even if it is pain.

My heart shall cease to beat

but my love is not vain.

So pray, my beauty, accept my love!

I have confessed in a lyrical song.

Forgive me if thou hast a heart,
But do not make me wait so long.
