Independence Day is more than a historic milestone; it is a reminder of the sacrifices made by countless freedom fighters and a call for every generation to uphold the values of democracy, unity, and progress. Marking this spirit, Apeejay School, Noida, celebrated the 79th Independence Day with great enthusiasm and pride on August 15, 2025.
The day’s celebrations commenced with the hoisting of the National Flag in the school grounds of Apeejay School, Noida, by the Principal, Dr Neha Sharma, along with Academic Coordinator, Mr Jatin Hassija, and Primary In-charge, Ms Apoorva Gupta. As the Tricolour fluttered high, the entire gathering joined in singing the National Anthem, which resonated with unyielding patriotism. To ensure inclusivity, the proceedings were live-streamed for the audience seated in the auditorium, bringing the entire school community together in spirit and participation.
A vibrant cultural programme followed, organised and presented by the Prefectorial Board of the Primary, Middle, and Senior wings. The sequence of events included an inspiring thought, an informative talk, and a self-composed poem that beautifully encapsulated the essence of freedom.
The highlight of the morning was a captivating skit depicting the courageous sacrifices of freedom fighters, which left the audience deeply moved. This was complemented by a soulful rendition of the patriotic song Teri Mitti, creating an atmosphere of pride and reverence. The cultural presentations concluded with energetic dance performances by both senior students and the younger children, symbolising the unity of generations in their love for the nation.
Addressing the gathering, the Principal emphasised that patriotism in today’s times must go beyond sentiment — it should translate into responsibility, service, and commitment to building a stronger nation. Her words served as a reminder that every citizen has a role to play in preserving the hard-earned freedom and ensuring progress for the country.
The celebration drew to a close with the joyous distribution of sweets among all present. As smiles spread across faces and the spirit of togetherness filled the air, the event truly embodied the values of pride, unity, and patriotism.
