The National Testing Agency (NTA) will close the registration window for the Common Management Admission Test (CMAT) 2026 on November 17, 2025. With the deadline now just hours away, candidates who have not yet completed their applications are advised to submit their forms promptly through the official portal, cmat.nta.nic.in.
While registrations end today, NTA has kept the fee payment window open until November 18, offering applicants a final opportunity to complete their transactions, even if they submit the form at the last minute. Following this, a short correction window will be available from November 20 to 21. During this period, candidates can edit or rectify errors in their submitted forms — an increasingly critical provision as application numbers rise and minor data-entry mistakes become more common.
CMAT 2026 will follow the established three-hour, computer-based format designed to gauge a candidate’s multi-dimensional aptitude for management education. The exam will consist of 100 questions carrying a total of 400 marks, evenly divided across five sections: Quantitative Techniques & Data Interpretation, Logical Reasoning, Language Comprehension, General Awareness, and Innovation & Entrepreneurship.
The Innovation & Entrepreneurship section, added recently, has emerged as a distinctive component of the CMAT structure. It evaluates a candidate’s understanding of concepts essential to the modern business landscape, including startup ecosystems, innovation frameworks, and entrepreneurial strategies. This addition sets CMAT apart from other MBA entrance examinations by incorporating competencies vital for emerging business environments.
NTA officials have reiterated that the exam pattern continues to focus on assessing a candidate’s overall readiness for contemporary management programmes, emphasising analytical ability, linguistic proficiency, and entrepreneurial thinking.
