Schools play a vital role in the overall development of Class VIII students by nurturing their academic, emotional,  physical, and ethical growth. “Alongside a strong curriculum that builds critical thinking and subject knowledge, schools encourage teamwork, communication, and emotional well-being through group activities and counselling,” shares Jyotsna Kakar, whose daughter Sana studies in Class VIII at Apeejay School, Model Town.

Read on to know how value education instils morals and responsibility amongst students.

How are the teachers supporting Sana?

The teachers here have been extremely supportive. She has consistently excelled in every class due to their strong encouragement to achieve high standards. They have always motivated her, especially when she felt like giving up. Their constant praise for her good work has helped her maintain excellent behaviour and perform well in various activities.

Which extracurricular activities does she enjoy?

Sana loves creative art and craft work. She enjoys writing articles and regularly contributes to the Apeejay Newsroom. A stage enthusiast, she is always eager to represent her house in school competitions. She’s also excited to take the mic for compering at any school event. Last year, her journey as a marathon runner began, inspired by her teacher, who is both a runner and a cyclist. When children see their teachers doing something inspiring, they often follow in their footsteps.

How is the safety protocol at this school?

Safety is a top priority for any mother. When Sana is at school, I feel assured that she is safe, as the teachers are very responsible. The staff on duty never leave until each child is picked up by their parents. So even if I’m a bit late, I know she’s in good hands. The Headmistress and the Principal are very patient and attentive to any concerns raised by parents, and they take prompt action, which reassures me that my child is taken care of.

Why did you choose Apeejay School, Model Town?

I was looking for a school with a strong curriculum, dedicated teachers, and a safe, secure environment for my daughter, and I found Apeejay School, Model Town to be the best choice. My husband is also an Apeejayite, which gave me an additional reason to choose the school. Moreover, its location was a bonus for me as it’s hardly a three-minute drive from my house.

How is the school infrastructure and facilities?

The school infrastructure is good. There are spacious, air-conditioned classrooms, well-designed computer labs, a library, and science laboratories that create a conducive learning environment. The presence of cameras in every classroom and corridor is commendable. However, the washrooms could use some improvement, and the toilet cleaning staff needs to be more alert. I highly appreciate that the school offers various sports activities like badminton, basketball, skating, and cricket

Is Apeejay School like a second home?

Sana spends six hours in school every day, which is a significant amount of time. During this period, she has learnt to share her belongings and food, and has developed good habits like punctuality, discipline, hard work, politeness, and active participation in extracurricular activities. This has been possible because the school ensures strong collaboration between teachers and parents to bring out the best in every student. I can confidently say that Apeejay School is like a second home for her.
