Rising from the rigorous academic journey of Class XI, these toppers of Apeejay School, Greater Noida (academic year 2024-25) have now entered Class XII with renewed determination and unwavering focus. Their success stands as a testament to their hard work, sincerity, and disciplined approach.

Meet Anwesha Gupta, Anika Gupta and Aastha Shukla, who have scored 80%, 77.37% and 75% respectively in the Commerce stream final exams. Speaking about her preparation strategy, Anwesha explained, “Studying Commerce as a stream was going to be new and different. My father helped me guide through the new Commerce subjects in the initial stages and prepped me a lot. Teachers at school introduced us to these new subjects amazingly and interestingly. I knew if I had to master them, I needed to be consistent and attentive from the beginning of class XI.”

“I focused more on being consistent with my studies, as consistency is key to getting good results in the long run. I made sure to not miss any classes at school, revise what was taught each day, and make my notes for better understanding and faster revision before exams,” she added.

Anika, on the other hand, mentioned that she didn’t follow any fixed strategy. “I studied based on what I felt like doing at the time, choosing subjects or topics that interested me in the moment. However, one thing I always followed was strict discipline, which was something my father strongly emphasised and ensured I maintained throughout, ” she said.

And Astha went on to share that, “I like to be thorough before I start preparing for my exams. Writing all the formulas in the syllabus in one place, subject-wise. Then I simply start from the more difficult chapters and move on to the easier ones. I started with practical questions so I could memorise the formulas, then move to theory. I dedicate around one hour each to my main subjects, mostly Accountancy, Economics, and Business Studies.”

With well-planned study routines, self-made timetables, and a clear vision, they managed to balance consistency and smart preparation. Their dedication has not only earned them outstanding scores but also made their teachers and parents immensely proud. Though all this success wasn’t a cakewalk and came along with their challenges.

“Covering up a lot of syllabus and being thorough with it before every exam is a challenging part. I tried to study the concepts beforehand so I have enough time for multiple revisions before exams! Revise as much as you can before tests,” iterated Anwesha.

While Anika and Aastha shared, “Accounts was the most challenging subject. What helped us manage this was going through every single question and illustration thoroughly during preparation. That extra practice gave us more confidence over time.”

As they now embark on the crucial Board year, these young achievers continue to inspire their peers with their commitment, resilience, and thirst for excellence.
