In the school assembly hall of Apeejay School, Charkhi Dadri, the vibrant atmosphere of creativity unfolded as the institution proudly hosted the prestigious Dr Stya Paul Memorial Fine Arts competition. Beyond being a platform to showcase artistic talents, the competition aimed to nurture personal growth and development among the students.
The event commenced with a heartfelt floral offering to Dr Stya Paul Ji, the Founder Chairman of Apeejay Stya and Svran Group, by the school’s Principal, Mr. Rudrendra Basak, along with the participants and teachers. Dr. Stya Paul’s legacy as an industrialist, educationist, and philanthropist provided the inspiration for the competition, symbolising quality and excellence in India’s industrial and educational landscape.

The competition was organised on three levels, catering to different age groups. Group A, for juniors (classes 4 and 5), allowed participants to create paintings based on their own choice. Group B was given topics including Marine life, My dream, and Combining two animals to create a new one. Group C explored themes like Addiction of mobile phones, Mission Chandrayaan-3, and Importance of physical exercise.
In the junior category (Group A), Arjun from Base Model Sr. Sec. School secured the 1st place, followed by Vani from S.C.R Sr. Sec. School in 2nd place and Shruti from Aryan Model Sr. Sec. School in 3rd place. Yoshika Bhatti from Sarvodya School of Science received a consolation prize.
Moving to Group B (classes 6 to 8), Kanika Bindal from Apeejay School claimed the 1st place, with Riya from S. C. R. Senior Sec. School securing 2nd place and Namrra from A. P. S. School, Ch. Dadri, securing 3rd place. Pallavi Jangra from Apeejay School, Ch. Dadri, received a consolation prize.

In Group C (classes 9 to 12), Kanika Sharma from Base Model Sr. Sec. School secured the 1st place, followed by Bhavya in 2nd place and Pooja in 3rd place from Base Model Sr. Sec. School and Aadrash School, Ch. Dadri, respectively. Kashish from Apeejay School, Ch. Dadri, received a consolation prize. The overall fine arts trophy was clinched by Base Model Sr. Sec. School, adding to the celebration of artistic excellence in the competition.
Mr Basak expressed gratitude to all participants, teachers, and the judge for their valuable contributions. He acknowledged the effort and creativity of every participant and congratulated the winners. Prizes were distributed, and Mr Basak assured the audience of more such enriching activities in the future, promoting holistic development among the students.
Overall, the inter-school fine arts competition proved to be a resounding success, providing a platform for artistic expression and nurturing the creative spirit of the students.
