With love, laughter, and heartfelt gratitude, Apeejay School, Charkhi Dadri, celebrated Mother’s Day recently with immense enthusiasm and warmth. The event was specially organised for the mothers of students from Nursery to Class III, and it beautifully showcased the pure bond between a mother and her child. The campus came alive with joy as mothers, children, and teachers joined hands to honour one of the most cherished relationships in our lives.
The celebration began with a traditional welcome, where mothers were greeted with tilak and bright smiles by enthusiastic students and staff. The lighting of the ceremonial lamp marked the formal commencement of the event, setting the tone for a day filled with meaningful moments and creative expressions.
The cultural programme unfolded with an array of delightful performances. Nursery and Kindergarten students captivated the audience with their colourful attire, innocent expressions, and rhythmic dance moves. Their performances, though simple, radiated pure emotion and innocence. The excitement continued as students of Classes I to III took to the stage with group dances dedicated to their mothers. Each performance was a visual ode to the love, sacrifice, and nurturing spirit of mothers.

A short skit by Class I students turned out to be one of the emotional highlights of the day. Through simple dialogue and heartfelt acting, the young performers depicted the countless roles a mother plays — from a caregiver to a teacher, a friend, and a protector. The performance left many in the audience visibly moved, reflecting the emotional depth the young minds had managed to convey.
To ensure that mothers were not just spectators but active participants, the school had thoughtfully planned a series of engaging activities. A special Talent Hunt segment gave mothers the opportunity to showcase their diverse abilities. The audience was treated to soulful poetry, melodious songs, graceful dance performances, and beautiful henna art, all enthusiastically presented by the mothers. The Cooking Without Fire contest was a major attraction, where mothers prepared innovative and nutritious dishes, adding a flavour of fun and creativity to the event.

The energy and spirit of the mothers added a vibrant dimension to the celebration. Their willingness to participate wholeheartedly made the event truly special and memorable. Laughter and affection filled the air, and the event turned into a celebration not just of motherhood but of community and togetherness.
The school Principal, Mr Vineet Vasishtha, addressed the gathering and lauded the joint efforts of students, parents, and teachers in making the event a grand success. He acknowledged the unparalleled role of mothers in shaping the character and future of children and expressed gratitude to the teachers for their tireless dedication in organising the event.
He further added, “Mother’s Day at Apeejay School, Charkhi Dadri, was a beautiful reminder of the love that nurtures and strengthens our children. I was deeply touched by the enthusiastic participation of mothers and the sincere efforts of our students and staff. Celebrating this bond through music, art, and shared joy created a truly heart-warming atmosphere. Such events reinforce the values of gratitude, love, and togetherness that we aim to instil in our students. Heartfelt thanks to all who made this day memorable.”

A special mention was made of the teachers — Mrs Ritu Sachdeva, Mrs Mamta Sharma, Ms Navneet, Mrs Pooja Sangwan, and Mrs Seema Hada — who put their heart and soul into curating and coordinating the programme. Their meticulous planning and heartfelt involvement ensured that the celebration was not only seamless but deeply impactful.
The day concluded on a joyful yet emotional note, leaving everyone with smiles, moist eyes, and cherished memories. It was a perfect celebration that honoured the essence of motherhood and reminded all of the love that forms the foundation of every child’s life.
