The campus came alive with vibrant colours, heartfelt performances, and inspiring words, paying tribute to the nation’s glorious journey of freedom and progress.

The celebrations commenced with the hoisting of the tricolour by the esteemed Director, Dr. Rajesh Bagga. In his address, Dr. Bagga highlighted the unique significance of this year’s Independence Day, which was themed “Naya Bharat”—a vision of transforming India into a fully developed nation by 2047, coinciding with the centenary of independence. He urged faculty, staff, and students to embrace this mission by contributing meaningfully to the nation’s growth through their talents, innovation, and hard work.

Recalling the invaluable contributions of Founder Chairman of Apeejay Stya Group & Apeejay Education Dr. Stya Paul, to the freedom movement, Dr. Bagga reaffirmed the institute’s dedication to advancing the mission of nation-building through education. He further acknowledged the visionary leadership of Mrs Sushma Paul Berlia, Chairman, Apeejay Stya & Svran Group, Chancellor Apeejay Stya University, and Chairman, Apeejay Education, under whose guidance the institute continues to nurture future leaders.

On behalf of the institution, Dr. Bagga emphasised that “Naya Bharat is not merely a government’s dream but a collective mission that requires innovation, unity, and dedication from every citizen.” He encouraged students to channel their creativity, leadership, and problem-solving abilities towards real-world challenges, reminding them that the journey towards a developed India begins in classrooms, communities, and daily actions.

The event beautifully showcased unity, patriotism, and youth participation. Hosted by Angel (MBA) and Radhika (BTech), the programme was filled with stirring speeches, poignant poetry, and soulful music. Somia (BCom) delivered a powerful speech on the role and responsibility of youth in shaping a progressive India, urging her peers to become active participants in national development.

Patriotic fervour reached new heights with heartfelt poems recited by Jobanpreet Singh and Dupinder Singh (BTech), which evoked vivid images of sacrifice and resilience. The celebrations culminated with a melodious performance by Anushka, Nandini, Simran, and Prem, whose patriotic songs touched the hearts of all attendees, leaving behind a deep sense of pride and unity.

Dr. Bagga extended special appreciation to the NCC Club and its in-charge, Mr. Rohit Verma, for their tireless efforts in organising a memorable and meaningful celebration.

The Independence Day programme at AIMETC stood as a true reflection of India’s unity in diversity, deep patriotism, and the unwavering commitment of youth to carry forward the nation’s vision of excellence and progress.
