Apeejay School, Nerul celebrates Founder’s Day with reverence and fervour
Recently, Apeejay School, Nerul, commemorated the 106th birth anniversary of its visionary founder, Dr Stya Paul, Founder-Chairman, Apeejay Stya& Svran Group, with a celebration that blended devotion, creativity, and inspiration. The event was a heartfelt tribute to a life dedicated to education, values, and excellence.
The ceremony began on a divine note with an invocation dance to Lord Nataraja, captivating the audience and setting a spiritual tone for the day. This was followed by a floral tribute by students and staff, accompanied by a melodious bhajan, reflecting deep respect for Dr Stya Paul’s enduring legacy.
The school Principal, Mr P Subhash, delivered a message from Mrs Sushma Paul Berlia, Chairman, Apeejay Stya & Svran Group, Chancellor, Apeejay Stya University, and Chairman, Apeejay Education emphasising the founder’s lifelong commitment to education, his philosophy of excellence, and the core values that continue to guide the Apeejay institutions. Adding a personal perspective, Head Girl Sampanna Roy inspired the audience with her speech, highlighting the principles and values nurtured in the students of Apeejay School. The Vice-principal Ms Preety Gupta then shared a touching account of Dr Stya Paul’s life, his philosophy, and his remarkable achievements, providing insights into the visionary mind behind the institution.
A dance drama titled TRUE KARMAYOGI, performed by Primary and Middle School students, skilfully brought to life the ideals, dedication, and values of Dr Stya Paul. The performance enthralled the audience, showcasing the students’ talent and their understanding of the founder’s philosophy.
The highlight of the celebration was the presentation of the prestigious Dr Stya Paul Award for Human Values to students who demonstrated exemplary character and commitment to humanitarian principles, reflecting the moral compass that Dr Stya Paul envisioned for the learners of his schools.
The Founder’s Day celebration at Apeejay School, Nerul was not only a tribute to a visionary leader but also a reaffirmation of the values he cherished — integrity, dedication, and service to society. It was a memorable day that strengthened the students’ connection to the enduring legacy of Dr Stya Paul.
The programme concluded with a ‘vote of thanks’ by Head Boy Aryan Gehlot, followed by the National Anthem, leaving the audience inspired and reflective.
