Celebrating the journey of women
From infant to crone, a woman does grow,
Several stages in her life, she will come to know.
At first, she is an infant,
Jumping and crawling, trying to open and shut her hands
Then, she is smiling with her cheerful eyes,
Holding her father’s hand and making him play with her
In her youth, she is wild and free,
Letting the choices of others on her knees
She is full of ambition to conquer,
Moving in the race of honkers.
Next, she comes to maidenhood, a time to explore
New love and passion, she will adore
A heart full of roses
Making her beloved sing a ballad for her.
Then she got married to her beloved,
Leaving her father’s hand, she went with her veil covered
Then joys of cheerfulness came to her life,
Motherhood brings joys and pains,
Nurturing her children, her love will remain.
In her thirties she fought for her right,
She finds her voice choosing her path and making her choice.
Forties she has a stability in her life, she became a queen in her sphere,
She has now some wisdom and grey hair, Confidence and strength are beyond
compared.
In fifties she paused her humdrum of life a little bit,
Thinking about the decisions, she made swiftly.
She has got a reflection, a time to take a breath
Looking back on her life and her relationships.
In her cronehood, she has feebly voice, she has made her treasure of life,
Some bitter and sweet moments curled in her arms of experience.
She is old and wise
Offering her knowledge and advice.
Now, she has no force and motion,
She is sans teeth, sans eyes, sans taste and sans everything.
And finally she left her treasure on Earth
And got mixed with the cosmic power of this creation.
