Apeejay School, Charkhi Dadri recently celebrated Teachers’ Day to honour the birth anniversary of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, India’s former president and an esteemed educator. The event was organised by the students of Class 12, aiming to show gratitude and respect for their teachers through a series of heartfelt tributes, performances, and engaging activities.

The celebration kicked off with a warm welcome extended to the teachers, followed by a tilak ceremony, symbolising the students’ reverence and appreciation for their educators. The assembly included speeches from students, expressing their admiration for the teachers who go beyond their regular duties to guide and inspire them. They highlighted how the values imparted by teachers remain a lifelong treasure.

A key part of the event was a play performed by the students, which humorously yet affectionately depicted the teacher-student relationship. The play portrayed typical classroom experiences, blending humour with insightful moments, bringing smiles and laughter to both students and teachers.

In addition to the play, the students showcased their artistic talents through traditional and modern dance performances. These cultural presentations added vibrant energy to the event, demonstrating the wide range of skills nurtured at Apeejay under the guidance of dedicated educators.

The Principal, Dr. Vineet Vasishtha, took a moment to read an inspiring message from Mrs Sushma Paul Berlia, Chairman, Apeejay Stya & Svran Group, Chancellor Apeejay Stya University, and Chairman, Apeejay Education.

Dear Teachers,

I wish you all a very Happy Teachers’ Day!

For us, this day is really very special, as the role of teachers in an education institution is paramount. Also, it is an occasion to acknowledge the contribution of teachers in shaping up the youth and the nation, throughout the year.

I would like to commend you all on your excellent work. I am sure that the new challenges that beckon us would be met by you with the same resilience, dedication and determination which you have always demonstrated.

Value-based education including human values continues to be the cornerstone of all Apeejay Education Institutions. The overarching goal is to bring about harmony in the physical, socio-emotional, intellectual and spiritual development of the students. Our campuses not only inculcate a love for learning but encourage an entire way of life rooted in values and wellness, while also keeping abreast with emerging technologies and 21st Century learning. In tune with NEP, our endeavour is to make education more experiential, stress-free and joyful.

Our motto ‘Soaring High is My Nature’ exemplifies the fact that we should never rest on our laurels, as the pursuit of excellence is a never-ending quest, and there are always new skies to conquer.

I am sure that as educators, we are conscious and mindful of the new realities in relevant emerging domains, so that our institutions scale many more peaks of success in the years to come.

Once again, Happy Teachers’ Day!

Mrs Berlia’s message highlighted the pivotal role teachers play in shaping the future of young minds and the nation as a whole. Dr. Vasishtha expressed his appreciation for the hard work and commitment of the teachers and also commended the students for organising a meaningful and memorable event.

The celebrations ended with fun games for teachers, allowing them to relax and enjoy the festivities. The day was filled with laughter, respect, and joy, leaving a lasting impression on both teachers and students alike. The event successfully underscored the invaluable role of teachers in society while creating cherished memories for everyone involved.
