Recently, Apeejay School, Tanda Road, Jalandhar, celebrated its Annual Sports Day with great enthusiasm on the school grounds. Students from all classes took part with energy and discipline, turning the day into a lively display of teamwork, coordination, and sporting spirit. Each event reflected careful preparation and a strong sense of participation among the students.

The occasion was graced by Mr Abhishek Bajaj, Founder-Head Coach of Volt Cricket Academy and a Ranji Trophy player. Addressing the gathering, he encouraged students to pursue sports with dedication and passion. His words struck a chord, reminding young learners that commitment and consistency are key to growth, both on and off the field.

Encouraging balance and holistic growth

The school Principal, Dr Rajesh Chandel, addressed the students and highlighted the importance of maintaining a balance between academics and sports. He spoke about holistic development and how physical fitness supports focus, confidence, and overall well-being. His message reinforced the school’s belief that learning goes beyond the classroom.

The event was conducted efficiently under the guidance of Ms Simranjit Kaur, In-charge, and Mr Yadwinder Gupta, Sports In-charge. Their planning ensured that the day progressed smoothly, with students performing confidently and safely. The celebrations concluded with a prize distribution ceremony, applauding effort, discipline, and sportsmanship.

Tiny minds explore big ideas

Meanwhile, the Pre-primary Wing organised a vibrant Science Exhibition. The young learners presented creative models on topics such as the Human Body, Save Earth, Rainwater Harvesting, Hot and Cold, and the Revolution of the Earth. With confidence and excitement, the tiny tots explained their projects using simple ideas and bright displays.

The exhibition helped develop curiosity, communication skills, and confidence. It also showed that when learning is hands-on and engaging, even complex ideas become joyful to explore. For teachers and parents, it was a proud reminder that meaningful learning begins early and grows with encouragement.
