Investiture ceremonies play a crucial role in shaping young minds, providing them with the opportunity to step into leadership roles while learning the importance of responsibility, integrity, and service. On the same note, Apeejay School, Saket, celebrated its prestigious Investiture Ceremony on April 17, 2025, marking a significant milestone in the lives of the newly elected leaders.
The ceremony began with an invocation of the divine through the soulful rendition of the Saraswati Vandana, a prayer that seeks the blessings of the Goddess of learning. This set the tone for an event filled with reverence and pride. The presence of the esteemed Chief Guest, Shri Sanjay Kumar Jain, Joint Commissioner of Police, Southern Range, Hauz Khas, New Delhi, added a sense of gravitas and inspiration to the occasion. Shri Jain’s words resonated deeply with the young leaders, urging them to embrace values such as integrity, courage, and dedication in their pursuit of leadership.
As the programme unfolded, the newly elected members of the Junior and Senior Prefectorial Boards were honoured with citations that highlighted their achievements and the responsibilities they were about to undertake. The House Captains, selected for their exemplary qualities, proudly marched in with their House Flags, further enhancing the sense of unity and pride. These momentous symbols were a reminder of the significance of teamwork and the values each House represents.


The highlight of the event was the speeches delivered by the newly elected Head Boy, Jayan Singh, and Head Girl, Chetanya Girotra. Both student leaders expressed their gratitude for being entrusted with such important roles and vowed to carry forward the school’s values of excellence, discipline, and responsibility. Their speeches were not just words but promises to lead by example and inspire their peers.
One of the most solemn and important moments of the ceremony was the oath-taking. The members of the Prefectorial Board, including the Head Boy, Head Girl, House Captains, and other board members, took the oath to uphold the duties entrusted to them. The oath was administered by the school’s Principal, Dr Sujeet Eric Masih, who emphasised the importance of leadership as a tool for service. He urged the student leaders to stay committed to the school’s mission and maintain a high standard of discipline and responsibility. Dr. Masih’s words were a reminder of the greater purpose behind leadership roles – to inspire others and make meaningful contributions to society.
Mr Jain, delivered a powerful address that captivated the audience. Drawing from his vast experience in public service, Shri Jain spoke about the significance of integrity, courage, and service in leadership. He shared personal anecdotes that illustrated how these values had shaped his career and inspired him to work for the greater good. His speech served as an invaluable lesson to the students, urging them to embrace leadership with sincerity and dedication.
The ceremony concluded with a heartfelt Vote of Thanks by the Vice-principal, Ms Ashu Khattar. She expressed gratitude to the Chief Guest, the parents, faculty, and the students for their participation and support in making the event a success. Ms. Khattar’s words summed up the essence of the ceremony, highlighting the importance of nurturing future leaders who will carry the legacy of Apeejay School with pride and responsibility.
