Celebrating health, happiness, and harmony

Recently, Apeejay Rhythms Kinderworld, Jalandhar, came alive with excitement and vibrant energy as it celebrated its Annual Sports Day, ‘FunAthon’, with great enthusiasm and participation. The event was a delightful blend of sportsmanship, joy, and family bonding, reflecting the true spirit of holistic education. The school grounds were filled with cheerful laughter and loud applause as students and parents gathered to witness and participate in the much-awaited celebration.

The occasion was graced by the Chief Guest, Mr Manpreet Singh, an Olympian and former Captain of the Indian Hockey Team, along with his wife, Ms Illi Sadduque. Their gracious presence added prestige and inspiration to the event. The Annual Sports Day was formally declared open by the esteemed Chief Guest along with school Principal, Mr Rajesh Kumar Chandel, Ms Nidhi Ghai, School Incharge, Apeejay Rhythms Kinderworld. The ceremonial opening marked the beginning of a day full of excitement, teamwork, and spirited performances.

A series of fun-filled races and activities were organised especially for the young learners and their fathers. Events such as the Pop and Run Race and the Set and Sprint Hurdle Race brought out laughter, friendly competition, and unforgettable moments. The sight of fathers enthusiastically running alongside their little ones created an atmosphere of warmth and bonding. Special games were also arranged for mothers, who had come in large numbers to cheer for their children and spouses. Their active involvement made the celebration even more inclusive and lively.

The students showcased their talents through impressive performances, including a synchronised PT show, calming yoga demonstrations, and an energetic Zumba. These performances highlighted the importance of physical fitness and coordination while entertaining the audience. The confidence and enthusiasm displayed by the kindergarteners were truly heart-warming. Their sparkling eyes and smiling faces reflected the joy of participation and achievement.

The event beautifully echoed the vision of Mrs Sushma Paul Berlia, Chairman, Apeejay Stya & Svran Group; Chancellor, Apeejay Stya University; and Chairman, Apeejay Education, who firmly believes that a healthy mind resides in a healthy body. Kindergarten is indeed a formative stage when children are eager to explore, participate, and express themselves. Activities like FunAthon not only promote physical fitness but also strengthen the emotional bond between parents and children, particularly between fathers and their young ones.

Addressing the gathering, the school Principal appreciated the efforts of the students, teachers, and parents in making the event a grand success. He encouraged all participants to continue nurturing a spirit of sportsmanship and congratulated the winners for their commendable performances.
