Diwali celebrations are essential in early education, especially in schools as they help young students understand cultural stories, imbibe values, and build confidence through performance. The recent Diwali assembly by Kindergarteners of KG-A at Apeejay School, Panchsheel Park brought these aspects together in a memorable and enlightening experience for all present.

The children captivated the audience with their vibrant energy, celebrating the essence of Diwali and the story of The Ramayan, which symbolises the triumph of good over evil. They opened the assembly with a devotional song honouring Lord Ram, setting a reverent and joyful atmosphere.

Dressed in colourful costumes, they confidently narrated the essence of the Ramayana, with impressive chaupai renditions and lively performances. The students portrayed iconic scenes such as Lord Ram’s coronation, Sita’s abduction, and Ravan’s defeat, winning the audience over with their dedication and lively expressions.

“We extend our heartfelt congratulations to all the students for their impressive performance. Their dedication and enthusiasm brought the epic Ramayana to life, beautifully conveying its cultural and moral values. The costumes, set design, and props added to the performance’s impact, making it both educational and entertaining. The Ramleela was truly memorable, and we look forward to more such enriching performances in the future,” quoted the parents of Saisha Bhatia, a student of KG-A

The energetic dances to popular Ramayan songs further brought the story to life, and the little stars danced to a Diwali song that left the audience moved and proud. The event highlighted not only their talent but also reinforced important values such as teamwork, discipline, and cultural awareness.

“Kudos to our talented kids for their outstanding performance! The Ramayan presentation was mesmerising, and the dance was breathtaking; each child shone brightly! Your support and dedication truly brought out the best in our young stars. Today’s event was an incredible success,” the parents of Viara Bengani said.

The assembly concluded with a heartfelt pledge, as students promised to celebrate an eco-friendly Diwali without crackers. The Principal, Ms Surabhi Joshi, commended the students for their outstanding performance, wishing them and their families a joyful and prosperous Diwali. The event was a beautiful display of the children’s learning journey, combining joy with meaningful cultural education.
