Recently, Apeejay School, Mahavir Marg, Jalandhar, added another feather to its cap when its students, Aadvik Kumar and Chirag Chopra, won a Consolation Prize at the Inter-school Digital Storytelling Competition held at Kamla Nehru Public School, Phagwara. The event, themed AI and Skills for the Future – A Gen Z Story, brought together 34 participants from neighbouring schools who showcased their talent through compelling digital stories. Each student used Adobe Express to design their presentations, blending imagination with technology.
Encouraging young digital storytellers
Supported by Adobe India, the event aimed to nurture creativity and digital awareness among school students. As part of the initiative, every participating school received a free Adobe Express Pro license, a thoughtful gesture that inspired young learners to explore the potential of technology-driven storytelling.
The competition provided a dynamic platform for students to express how artificial intelligence is shaping future skills. The entries reflected diverse perspectives, from the use of AI in art and education to its role in professional growth.
A journey of learning and confidence
Aadvik, said, “I’ve always believed that curiosity is my biggest strength. I enjoy exploring ideas from science, technology, design, and even everyday moments. Creating things gives me a sense of purpose because it allows me to express ideas in ways that make people think. When I’m not studying, I love watching Formula 1, experimenting with digital tools, and learning how technology is shaping the world. What drives me most is the desire to grow and take on challenges.”
Participating in the PPT competition became an important milestone for him. “It showed me what I’m capable of when I push myself. Researching, designing the slides, refining my script, and presenting before an unfamiliar audience taught me how to stay calm, organised, and confident. Meeting participants from other schools helped me see how differently the same topic can be interpreted,” he shared.
The competition also helped him build meaningful skills: Storytelling, presentation design, research, public speaking, and time management.
For Chirag, the event was more than just a competition; it was a chance to challenge himself and grow. A Class X student, he has always enjoyed drawing, painting, and experimenting with creative tools like Canva and Adobe. His interest in robotics and electronics added another layer of curiosity that aligned well with the theme.
“Participating in the competition helped me step beyond my comfort zone. Despite a few stumbles while presenting, the experience strengthened my confidence,” he shared. Chirag, who aspires to pursue medicine, believes AI will play a major role in healthcare, especially in diagnostics and surgeries.
His takeaway was simple yet powerful, students should make the most of AI tools to express creativity and innovation.
Applause for young innovators
Congratulations to Aadvik and Chirag. Their success stands as a testament to Apeejay School’s continued commitment to nurturing talent and promoting creative learning through technology.
